Sora Schools is a great virtual high school, but it’s not reaching enough students because its website isn’t working well. It was also slow to load pages due to poor optimization, and it lacked mobile responsiveness. The website also wasn’t up as often as it should have been, which made it difficult for students to get the information they needed.
The website for Sora Schools is down more than it’s up, which means that students can’t obtain the information they need or sign up for classes. The backend database was also poorly optimized, which meant the server had to do extra work to fetch the information from it. The website also lacked mobile responsiveness, which made it difficult for students to access on their phones. The website was also up less often than it should have been, which made it challenging for students to get the info they need for classes.
Partially rebuilt the Website, so that it would be faster and more reliable. Now more students can take advantage of this great virtual high school. Also, it now uses a Kinsta solution with AWS to scale the Website according to load, with Varnish caching on the front. Now the Website loads incredibly quickly. Plus, I have also implemented a mobile responsive design so that students can easily access the website from their phones. Lastly, I set up a monitoring solution so it’s now possible to keep an eye on the Website and make sure it’s always up and running smoothly.
